Information we collect

Calculator inputs

Calculator tools are designed to run in your browser. The numbers you enter (loan amounts, heights, temperatures, and similar) are used locally to compute results on the page. The local calculator, text-formatting, and data-conversion code does not transmit these inputs to our server or save them in cookies or local storage. We do not require an account.

Saved tools

If you choose Save this tool, we store that tool’s identifier in your browser’s local storage so it appears on your next visit. This contains no calculator inputs, writing, or converted data and is not sent to our server. Use Clear saved tools on the home page or your browser settings to remove it.

AI writing editor

The DeepSeek writing editor is different from the local calculators and formatters. When you confirm the checkbox and request an edit, the text and selected editing goal are sent through our server to DeepSeek. Review its privacy policy before submitting text. Do not submit confidential information. Our application does not save the draft or revision; DeepSeek handles the submitted content under its own terms and policies.

When the AI service is available, its endpoint creates a temporary, HTTP-only session cookie to validate editing requests. To limit automated use, the server stores a daily request count and short-lived keyed hashes of connecting IP addresses, without the submitted text. The counter file resets daily when used. This security cookie is separate from advertising cookies. The text formatter and data and unit converters do not require it.

Server and technical logs

Like most websites, our hosting environment may automatically record technical data such as IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages requested, and timestamps. These logs are used for security, reliability, and diagnosing errors — not to build marketing profiles about individuals from calculator inputs.

Contact messages

If you email or otherwise contact us, we receive the information you choose to send (such as your email address and message content) so we can respond.

Cookies, advertising, and Google AdSense

The local calculators themselves do not set advertising cookies. Where Google ads are enabled, Google and its partners may process information as described below. Serving personalised ads to visitors in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland requires a Google-certified consent management platform and the required choices.

We may use Google AdSense or related Google advertising services to display ads on certain pages that contain substantial publisher content (typically calculator pages with explanations).
